That's my boy!
Hmm, what's this?

New toy! Thanks Mom!

(Before any of you Knitters have a heart attack, let me point out that it's Cotton Fleece, from the sale bin. This would not be happening with my Brooks Farm stash.)

I can see how such a soft, warm and fuzzy thing would be great to play with! But I don't blame you about it being sale yarn and not Brooks Farm.
My niece and nephew both love to play with my yarn. At one point I gave them a bunch of my little leftover Cascade 220 and stuff, and they had the greatest time unraveling it and throwing it and all that fun stuff. If it's a yarn that I'm actually knitting with or that would get hopelessly tangled, I don't let them have it, but they both played with the yarn that eventually became earflap hats for them. It was a superwash wool, after all. :)
Yeah, start him early. E has her own "knitting"--some scraps of multi-colored sale yarn and an old pair of fairly blunt needles. Maybe wait until next year for the needles...
