The best thing I've ever made

And here's a picture of him modeling the hat I made him! The hospital hats were all kind of tiny and kept slipping off his big round head, but this one fit just fine. :)

I picked up my knitting today for the first time since last Sunday, when I did a little knitting to distract myself from contractions. My hands have been very literally full for a lot of the past week, and it seems like when I have a few minutes free there's always something more important (like sleep or food). But I've realized that it's good for my sanity to be able to knit a little bit most days, even if it's just three rows of pink sock.

Congratulations! He is adorable. And I totally agree about the hats, the hospital ones are really inferior. I love the one you knit for him, nice and roomy. Happy Mother's Day!

Oh, he's so cute in his stripey hat! :-)

I'm glad you're finding the occasional moment to knit. Any chance of spinning? I wonder if that might be slightly easier to accomplish with a baby in a sling. ;-)
