Stylin'!

Julian is a lucky boy! Check out the awesome ensemble he received from Amy yesterday: an Elizabeth Zimmerman Baby Surplice Jacket and matching hat! There are also matching socks, but the bind-off is a little tight to get over his feet without extreme fussing, so I'll re-do the edge. The garter stitch makes the hat and jacket fit really well, and the hat is possibly the cutest thing ever. Thank you Amy!!!

Yay, it fits! I always make those things and then they look so impossibly small to me. Pity about the socks, they caused me headaches all over. All to use a tiny bit of yarn. Sheesh!

That's the second baby hat I've made that way (the other to go with an EZ baby surprise jacket). The mom got lots of compliments on the other too, I think I'm just gonna have to write up a few directions, but it's so darned simple.

ROFL!! How adorable! Great pics. I don't often get to see where our yarns go after they leave the store, but if half wind up so warmly welcomed, I'm deeply honored. Congrats on a beautiful baby and a friend like Amy!
